Halloween Costume Ideas

We know how much work it takes to plan a party, especially if it's for kids! Besides providing party supplies to arrange your celebration we also want to help you with some party ideas. If you are having a Halloween party, finding the right costumes for your kids and yourself is one of the main points to consider during your child party planning. Find below some fun Halloween costume ideas!

Garbage Bag Costume

Find a large brown paper bag and cut holes for arms and head. Glue various types of garbage on the bag, such as crumpled newspapers. An easy, cheap and fun idea!

Cow Costume
You can make a cute cow costume out of a white sweatsuit with a hooded sweatshirt. Paint black cow spots and sew ears on the hood. If you don't want to paint the sweatsuit you can cut the spots out of a black piece of cloth and sew them to it. Find a small bell and sew it at the neck of the sweatshirt. Add a rope tail and pin it to the back of the sweatpants. Knot and fray the end.

Find cowboy hat & boots, plaid shirt and overalls (or jeans) to dress as a farmer and take your cow to your Halloween party!

Sunflower Costume
Foam is a very useful material that can help parents carry out their Halloween costume ideas. Buy sheets of yellow foam and cut large flower petals. Staple them around a wide yellow ribbon and then tie around your head. Paint your face green with black dots to look like the center of a sunflower!

Cave Family
You can easily find animal print fabric at a fabric shop. Have your costume drape over one shoulder and cut the bottom raggedy in a zigzag pattern. The only place you need to sew is the sides and a little at the shoulder. Find a plastic bone to style your hair as Pebbles Flinstone!

A great idea to go along this theme is to dress babies or the smallest kids as dinosaurs. If they have a jogging suit in a strong color (better if it's green or purple) you can sew or pin little triangles of fabric or felt down the middle of the hood and jacket. You can even make a dinosaur tail out of a matching fabric and attach to the bum of the jogging suit. A comfortable and cute costume for the little ones! Kids will enjoy the Halloween party even more if they are wearing a comfortable outfit.

Gone Fishin'
Pin some bobbers, plastic worms and plastic bugs to a floppy hat. Dress your kid in a plain T shirt, overalls and rubber boots. You can use a long stick with a string tied to an end as a fishing pole. Tie some plastic fish from the string.

Now that you have your costumes and party supplies you can concentrate on the final details of your child party planning, such as preparing the party food and planning games! Don't forget to include
a Halloween pinata games!
